3d cutaway plane to 2d

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have a model, where I've made the mesh to act as a roof (the thickness comes with another mesh and SEO). Now - as the roof is complex and funny, I did some 3d cutaways from different heights. Is there a way I can show the cutaway lines on 2d?
Tried 3d export from 3d, but when importing the dwg file i got all kinds of lines but not the right ones.

Short answer: in the 3D Window, select the Marquee Tool, flat marquee option, select the area around the area and copy. For a fuller discussion see my post in this thread: Getting contour lines from a mesh

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
