Add camera in the middle of and existing path?

Is there a way to add a camera in the middle of and existing path when making a quicktime walk-through movie? I have only had luck adding to the end of the path, but if it's a long path and you want to change something in the middle that doesn't help.

If you are in the 3D window of your selected camera, navigate to new position, then go to View> 3D Navigation Extras> Insert a new camera after the selected one

(This is in AC11, location of menu items may have changed in later versions)
