Has anybody noticed this also and found a way to make this behaviour go away?
I select any element (either on plan or 3D view) and if I don't wait for 1-2 seconds after selecting the item, the element will always think I want to move it. Therefore, if I am trying to work quickly and just select the item and then move the mouse over the the Info Box to edit any settings, the settings will be grayed out because the element is in the middle of a move command !
I've been using Archicad since version 10 and this has now been happening on version 26 and 27, but only if I use any of my Apple M1-equipped Macs. I use a MacBook Pro and a Mac Studio, both of them with the Apple M1 Max chip and they both behave the same.
Does anyone think of any possible setting in the Work Environment that could help with eliminating this behaviour? It gets kind of tiring trying to quickly select items, but having to wait a couple seconds after selecting a wall, a slab, an object, etc., because if I don't wait then it'll think I want to move the objects.

After several weeks of working now on my M3 MacBook Pro, this issue has not popped up even once. At the same time, this still keeps happening on my M1 Max Mac Studio, even with the latest Archicad update 5003.

For me Magnet was the culprit (window manager): https://magnet.crowdcafe.com
I need to quit Magnet when working with Archicad, then I can normally work again.

I have this bug and I have magnet installed. I will uninstall it and see how it goes. This bug is driving me crazy.

You don't have to uninstall, just click on the icon in the top menu and select Quit from the menu.
You can restart it again once you close Archicad to use it.

It’s was magnet all along, the bug is gone!!! Soo many years with this problem on both m1 ultra and M1 Max. I will just use the new window management on new macOS sequoia. Thank you, you made my day!!!! 🍻

This has been going on for an age this end. I can tentatively can confirm closing Magnet seems to have solved the issue this end as well, thank goodness. Annoying that I now can't use Magnet as it's an extremely useful tool, though not as annoying as not being able to select things in the file quickly.

I agree, I use Magnet all the time to snap and move windows around – closing and reopening is quite annoying, if you are doing it for the nth time in a day.:)
I've sent a short report to CrowdCafé (developers of Magnet) to look into the issue.
I'll keep the thread updated once they reply – hopefully they do and the issue gets resolved (I'm not sure on whose end, though).
