They seem to have been busy at GS this year! Looks to be a great release with some really useful features to increase productivity. Possibly the best release for a while?

Favourite features -
Proper 'materials' rich with information.
Priority based connections for all building elements.
Storey height association for building elements.
Curved beams. (not sure if they have a cover fill yet!)
Core based reference line for walls and slabs.
Real-time cutplanes.

Biggest negative - I'm not on subscription any more

I would say that the last few releases have been the best since 12.

13 and 14 were (for me) and most sole traders - not very relevant.

If the archi -gurus / beta testers are out of their NDA it would be good to hear a more detailed view?

Best items for me are -

Integrated BIX
Realtime 3D cutaway

Will be interesting to see the workflow of Priority based connections pans out.
I have a lot of spereate 2d details that I use

Biggest gimmick - BIMObject integration.

Cant wait to try demo

I'm not Peter, but since subscription varies by country and since you're in the US... subscription here is called ArchiPLUS:
http://www.graphisoftus.com/products_archiplus.php
and includes all upgrades for a year, keyplug insurance (replacement) and more as listed in the link.

I'm just a user - but a reminder to everyone: GS - at least in North America - is raising their prices on June 1 for the first time in many years - an increase of 18%. So now is the time to lock in the old prices. My personal ArchiPlus contract is expiring May 31, so I was able to sign up for a 3 year subscription at the old price.

Back to the topic (17): could be the biggest game changer since 10 IMHO. Lots of exciting stuff.

It seems (I hope) that ver. 17 improvements eliminate many of the gymnastics needed to have accurate live sections.

One tiny thing but nice is the multi-leader label object.

The speed is already fairly good but the background processing seems like it will be a great thing.

Core based reference lines - Very good.

I already use the 3d plan view for roof plans and am interested in using the new 3d RCP.

Sorry, missed an "I'm" out of the sentence. Edited to be clearer!

As Karl says, normally we are on a maintainance subscription (MES) costing around £4-500 a year for free upgrades, support, and discounted training. We cancelled it last year before AC16.
