Will someone from GS please verify that 2256 is not to be used and to revert back to the previous version.

I Lost a total of about 8 hours trying to figure out what was wrong, uninstalling, reinstalling, etc.

I now have 2256 running but it has been deleted from the Graphisoft US website.

Do I now need to uninstall once again and download and reinstall 1410.

You can go from the 8.1 (CD-version) to the 2256 update.

could you be a bit more specific? what do we early updaters need to do to be able to update drawings in pm3.1r2?
do we need to do a full deinstall & registry cleaner/ reinstall then update.
is this a revised 256 build? if so why the same build#?
a bit more timely info on the tr site may be helpful in the future when a build is pulled.

as per the website:
If you have already downloaded and installed the 8.1 V2 Mac Updaters from March 26, 2004-March 29, 2004 ([30MB] and [75MB] files), you will only need a mini-update known as DGLib [380KB] (version 2.0.0.0 v2 (1535/2267)). This mini-update fixes a bug that caused ArchiCAD to crash when uploading to an FTP site with Publisher on Mac.
To install this mini-update: download DGLib [380KB] (version 2.0.0.0 v2 (1535/2267)) and replace the existing DGlib file (in your Applications\ArchiCAD 8.1 folder which is version 2.0.0.0 v2 (1523/2256)).

that is a great explanation for the MAC os updaters.
i was asking for the specific pc update procedure to correct the pm3 import /update problem both grant & i were having. background archicad refuses to open.
both pc & osx builds were pulled from the site yesterday. the explanation you give was already on tr prior to being pulled.
i have been waiting since yesterday for info. i have done substantial work using the 2254 build & now i cannot update / import into pm3.1r2. how can this be expressed more clearly.
is gs going to address this issue? are we merely beta testers?
sorry to be so blunt, i just expected better response from gs on this matter.

As far as your problem is concerned, could it be a file-specific issue?

I have had some wierd problems after installing r2( I did post this elsewhere on the forum). Jeffry confirmed problems with AC's curtain wall library part. This problem occurs with and without the library updater. I never made it to plotmaker, but given the problems he confimed I am having I am back to 8.1+ until he hears from Budapest.

I already miss the increased speed of r2!!!!
I already miss the SEO working much better!!!!

If only it could generate an elevation correctly.
