ArchiCAD 8.1 keyboard short cut question

JaredBanks

There are still machines in my office running ArchiCAD 8.1

I know, I know.

My question is this:

Is it possible to copy the keyboard short cuts from ArchiCAD 8.1 on one computer to ArchiCAD 8.1 on another computer? I know how to to do this in 9, 10, and 11, but I'm not that familiar with 8.1.

Anyone remember? I can't seem to find either a way to do it in the program or where the file is located on my hard drive.

Thanks

If i remember rightly (and it's a big if), under C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Graphisoft you should find an ArchiCAD 8 folder which will have some preference files (.prf) in it along with some .xml files.
Can't remember which one has the keyboard shortcuts, but you can cut and paste all of them.

Stuart,

Wow. Thanks. I'm on a Mac, so it's a little different, but you got me there:

HD\Users\(username)\library\preferences\graphisoft\AC 8.1.0

I actually don't need to transfer the keyboard short cuts today (but i will in the future) so I don't know yet which file to copy, but it's definitely there.

Thanks so much. I don't know what I'd do without this Forum!
