I've filled in the form two or three times in the last days, but the website is acting very strange. I got no confirmation, though, so it might have failed...

That said, as an educational user, I'm not sure if I'm acceptable for the beta-test (I have an old commercial hardware dongle that was never updated to 18).

Something I picked up from that beta invitation site was that AC19 is set for Q2 not Q3 this time.

No, I did not get in either for beta testing.

Are we getting any official hints?

In the last many years ArchiCAD was normally released toward the end of Q2. I remember one exception was AC13, which introduced the new Teamwork solution (which was a huge, multi-year development task) and was released in Q3.
However, since AC14 the new version always came out in Q2.
But of course it is always up to GS to decide when the release is stable and ready.
