I tried it immediately 🙂 It worked fine without any problems on WinXP Netscape 7.1 I'm glad to be the first Hungarian in the ranking with 64%, especially considering that I never use the 35% of the program... I think I have to improve my English not my ArchiCAD competency to understand all the questions... When will it be accessible in Hungarian?
I really enjoyed it! 🙂

It has a few abiguous questions, but I got 80% of them right ( ) so I'm happy. My colleagues however...let's just say I need to plan some additional training.

Thanks for the update Greg.

Let's begin...

No right answer here. Try them and see. I'll refrain from posting the right answer to preserve the integrity of the question once it's fixed.

"The purpose of correctly setting pen weights and colors is..."

I just don't like this one; none of the answers is objectively the best, and they could all be defended.

"Look good on the screen" is unclear. Is this an artistic evaluation? Pencolors in AC are good when they clarify the model. But that's my opinion. "Improve the graphic appearance" is best, but it makes it sound subjective again, and it raises the question of whether we're talking about AC or PM. "Viewing the plan easier on the eye". Where, on the paper? That's certainly part of it. Or in AC? Meaning the colors shouldn't clash? "Better simulate hand-drawings". If you are of the "Mr. Hand" school (I am not), this would be a consideration, though I would argue pens weights alone don't do it. This answer is correct if we interpret "simulate hand-drawings" to mean "maintain traditional drafting standards".

Pens in PM are for putting good drafting on the paper. Pen settings in AC are for "previewing" the drafting, as well as intelligently presenting the project to the user. Reasonable people may disagree, so multiple choice isn't the best format such a question.

James,

You have just found a bug in ArchiCAD. It works differently on MAC and PC.

Thanks,

Greg,

Aha!

Quick hits:

• The Window Settings/Preview Window/cursor/rotation question is missing its illustration, I assume.

• "Wobbly" questions aside, once in while you get a score that seems "no way" low.

On the Mac you can't drag and drop a DWG onto a layout. For us the answer to that question is "no operation". I get the feeling on Windows it's different. Confirm/deny/no comment...

you can - it merges . . .

i did it to see whether or not it would xref it - which would be my preferred option.

In AC it merges. In PM, nothing. For me at least. In PM it should become a drawing.
