Where can I find a list of what new goodies we can expect in the next version of archicad?

They own at least 90% of GS stock. If you think they have total autonomy, oh boy you are wrong.
Take a look what the majority of Archicad development time was spent on the past versions:
- dRofus connection (owned by Nemetschek)
- Bluebeam connection (owned by Nemetschek)
- Solibri connection (owned by Nemetschek)
- the whole structure analysis thing was made for Scia (owned by Nemetschek)

I am 99,99% sure they have little say in what happens in the Archicad development roadmap. They must make sure we are enticed to use other Nemetschek products, while making sure each of their products will keep their uniqueness and client base on the market.

If any one is interested you can look around the NEMETSCHEK web site https://www.nemetschek.com/en/ to gain a bit more insight into their objectives and how their portfolio of products go together.
Apple iMac Intel i9 / macOS Sonoma / AC27UKI (most recent builds.. if they work)

OK, manage guys without me. I worked with ArchiCAD more than 20 years, finally achieved maximum what is possible to get from it, understood that software far from perfect - if talk about REAL BIM, REAL project delivery on site and even is talk about REAL development on the platform - it term just GDL'ing. Unsuccessfully tried to find anyone, who can help me to continue my development.

Maybe new generation is needed of young architects who do not understand how to work and don't understand construction, who don't want to improve their workflow and achieve better efficiency, don't want to learn programming, and happy to follow the main guidance, coming from commercial needs of the companies-developers. Is it Nemetschek, Graphisoft, what the market share - it's all started to make headaches for me.
Probably I'm getting simply old.

Hi Mr. DGSketcher, what is your take on this? I like they are aiming for total integration, but they definetely seem to be putting Archicad, VW and Allplan against each other. Allplan seems to be more like Revit as it has structural design capacities and its their own product so Allplan should be safe, but Vectorworks and Archicad are quite similar from what i have seen. It works for now, but unless each software specializes in something very specific, having both in the long term would not make much sense, does it?

Maybe sooner or later we might expect a new kid on the block that will change the game. What do you think about that?
I think its inevitable, hence the worry about Graphisoft resting on their laurels implementing a vision for Archicad that only they know so far.

I also share that frustration and it is less about terrible new ArchiCAD release and more about diminishing faith that ArchiCAD is the best industry solution for the next x years.
This is exactly the thing we are trying to signal GS. We ain't gonna accept being played for fools.
Stop trying to force all other Nemetschek products down our throats and start delivering features that actually improve efficiency and workflow.

PS: I don't mind a year of weak upgrades, but its two in a row now. We mustn't allow 26 to be the 3rd.

Completely agree. Please check the other thread, although we havent done much so far
My AC 25 installation process has been painful, but I really didn't expect to find everybody bitching here.

Not every upgrade needs to be a revolution. Before GS started with the annual releases, new versions appeared every 18 months or maybe more. There was 6, 6.5, 7. Actually yearly updates are a bit of a pain in terms of the frequency with which one needs to adjust templates, work environment, procedures, decide whether to upgrade projects or not, etc. —but then one does get slight improvements every time, instead of major upheavals every 18 or 24 months. Yearly releases are coherent with the SSA and subscription schemes, which does make sense —and after staying behind once or twice for a couple of years, one learns that it makes workflow and financial sense to keep up to date too.

In the last year:
BIMcloud as a Service
+
AC24 and publishing to server
+
Twinmotion-for-free (I would have stuck with Artlantis otherwise)
+
Grasshopper connection
have basically saved my life. I wouldn't have been able to make it past COVID without these few recent changes.

I have been looking from afar at the new structural collaboration capabilities, which seem to be getting upgrades every time, a rather substantial thing. I had thought I would never need to look into it seriously but now engineers are starting to ask. A few years ago all the effort went into Teamwork and then BIMcloud, which back then seemed to me like things from the future, irrelevant at the time.

Stairs have got pretty impressive. The railing tool is awesome too. Windows are improving every time. I have never yet used the opening tool, but I am sure it has changed quite a few people’s lives. These are complex configurations in a construction-documents capable program, so they do require sitting down for a while and learning how they work —and once understood, I think deserve a lot of respect.

This is an amazing piece of software, which I suspect stands head and shoulders above everything else whenever I talk to someone using “the competition”. Just wanted to put all the bitching, most of it probably justified, within that framework.

It could also be said, we are bitching because we love Archicad

People are disappointed because they cannot work properly. And old experienced users were waiting too long. To compare to overall progress done in computer technology, how quickly is changing different software and what solutions are appearing in Internet technology, CGI, AI, image processing, in gadgets - ArchiCAD from pioneering software turning into guy, who is always late.
