Beam Centerline End Node Not Recognized outside of Beam body

I stumbled upon this which I consider a bug.
It seems that ArchiCAD's Smart Cursor finds the end node of the Beam's Center Line only if it is within the Beam body's contours. If it is outside of it, it still finds the center line as shown by the cursor shape but not the end node of it. See attached image.
Can anyone confirm it, I hope it is not my graphics card playing tricks on me?

It's not your video card; I find the same behavior here.
However, the cursor does find all the intermediate nodes.

Yes, it is only the end nodes.

For what it is worth, this works correctly when the reference line of a wall is set outside the body of the wall.
