Calculating Volumes

What is the best way to calculate volumes? I was using the "calculate" menu and then using a slab to find the volume, but found that the volume the computer gave me was not correct.

First, you should go into your ArchiCAD-Talk profile and add a signature. To add a signature to a post you must first create one; this is done via your profile. Once created you can check the Add Signature box on the posting form to add your signature. You can also add a signature by default to all your posts by checking the appropriate radio box in your profile. You can still prevent a signature being added to individual posts by un-checking the add signature box on the posting form.

Make sure it contains information about the version of ArchiCAD you are using, your computer and OS. This will help people on ArchiCAD_Talk figure out what's going on.

Second, a better description of the problem would help. For example if you said that you created a slab 10'x10'x1' and ArchiCAD reported a volume of 2.83 cubic feet we could, maybe figure out what the problem is (cubic meters vs cubic feet).

Cheers and hang in there... this IS the place to get help.
