CiTools Coverings setout able to be adjusted in hotlink module, but not carried through to main file

I'm working on a modular building using Ci Coverings. I'm able to adjust the setout of the cladding sheets so that they align where we need them, but when this is hotlinked into the main file these changes are not retained. Modules have been mirrored, which doesn't do any harm to anything else in the model. Everything has been saved, and the links have been double-checked. What am I getting wrong?
