Color Faces Independently?

Hi all,
Does anyone know if there is a way to assign a different material to each face of a solid (e.g. six different materials to a cube made of slab or beam or whatever it takes)?
Thanks!
John

Convert the solid to a MORPH or use a slab or roof.
Pet Palette allows assignment of materials to individual faces.

A beam has the individual faces in its dialog.

Dwight,
Thank you very much for your reply- I'm sorry, I should have specified that I am using AC14 (student version), and it doesn't look like the option you pointed out - which is precisely what I was after - exists in 14. I'm currently upgrading to 15, and I don't know if I will be allowed to go on to 16 with the student version, but we shall see!
Thanks again,
John

While there is no morph in 14, you can still change the sides of roofs and slabs using the pet palette.

See if you can open the pet palette and use the icon on the right.

hmm...on both slab and roof, when viewing in 3D, I'm able to conjure the pet pallete by clicking on corner points and edges- but neither pet pallete appears to have the appropriate icon. Is there a keystroke combination to will the pet into being when clicking on a surface?

You may be right, but try this to be sure:

Make a slab.

Image the slab in 3D.

Select the slab tool.

Select the slab.

Click a face and hold.

You get a pet palette? Does it look like this?
