Complex Profile Walls and corner windows

OK Graphisoft why is it that I cannot use the Corner Window option with Complex Walls.
Complex profiles are one of the most useful features in the current ArchCAD and corner windows are an architects dream but the two don't /can't come together.
When are we going to be able to place corner windows onto complex walls?

I was just using the default Aussie template with any complex profile wall and any window from the GS library.
No luck with what ever I use.

Hi Barry,

I have corresponded with David and he kindly pointed out that I haven't found a solution after all.....at least not the way the Corner Window tool should work (with a 'one click' function)

So, it's back to square one !

Who wants to post a request in the Wish List ??!!

The corner window tool does not work properly in a complex wall.
Yes you can place two separate windows with mitred corners in the corner of a complex wall but they are not linked. In other words changing the height of one does not change the height of the other, changing the the reveal dimensions of one does not change the reveal depth of the other. This does happen in Composite and Basic walls.
In other words the windows placed with the Corner Window tool into a Complex Wall do not work the same way as windows placed using the Corner window tool in a Composite or Basic wall.

I don't think the reveal has any impact.
The window will only snap to one complex profile wall whereas with a composite wall it snaps around the corner.

I did notice that the "Corner Window Function" is turned off when in a complex profile wall and it can not be turned back on.

Hi All,
I asked about the reveal, because we do have an issue about placing two separate windows on a corner with a reveal, where the reveals interefere with the placement in the case of a profiled wall. If the question is a regular corner window with the "corner window tool", the answer is in this segment of the ARCHICAD 19 Reference Guide: http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/?p=46362.
"Please note:
• Corner Windows cannot be placed in a Profiled Wall.
• Corner Windows cannot be placed in trapezoid or curved Walls."

Hi Katalin,

Is this likely to be on Graphisoft's 'hit list' of new features/improvements ?

Given that many of us rely very heavily on Complex Profiles it would be very handy (if not essential) to have the feature.
