Complex profile on curved walls

Hello all-

I am trying to use a complex profile that is really simplistic, (slight curve on the top of the outside edge) but the wall looses the profile when it goes into a curve. Is there a simple fix? Works well when the wall runs straight and true, but deviation from a straight line kills it. Any helpful hints?

No problems with the beam use of the complex profile, but beams do not curve either.

It is protocol on this forum when posting a question to state your Archicad Version.

Only in Archicad 11 can the complex profile wall smoothly curve. In Archicad 10, you use the magic wand tool set to short segments - magic wand your complex profile on a spline or arc and the tiny segments overlap to simulate a curve.

Beams don't curve! What do you think this is? GehryCAD?

I have already tried every setting that I can tweak under the magic wand without success.

I could just make very short beams and allow the edges to overlap to get the effect that I want, but what a drag.

Use:

linear segments and make them really short.

Yet another way to know that it is time to upgrade.

Show off. Linear Segments set to smallest 25/64". Did it work? Nada.

That is old work that took hours to assemble considering that each course is a separate set of segments.

Are you actually magic wanding the wall with the cursor and space bar or trying to draw it?

I'm stumped since you have used all of the scientific methods. Perhaps we could get superstitious. This often works with computers and love spells.

Did you lift your left leg? Stomp three times?
