I've been trying to create a stair that has a single step, then a winder with 2 runs, a straight run, then a winder with 3 runs, and a single step at the end (as previewed in the top stair). The closest I was able to get is the bottom stair, but for some reason I cannot add the last step (shown in red) without it completely breaking the stair.

You might need to reduce your riser height a bit, in order to get the extra one you need.
Also, have a look at this short video on stairs by @James B. Hopefully it will help you figure it out.

I want to take a riser from the middle straight run and add it to the turning on the left, so its not a matter of not having enough risers. I model it leaving 4 risers just before the triple winder but it wont let me add that last riser to the end. However, it works if the number of winders on both ends are equal, say two and two or three and three, but once I model them with an uneven amount of winders it breaks. Also if I click on the winder after it has been modelled with equal winders on each turning in order to change one of them to three, and I ensure I have the setting "Apply changes to: Clicked Turning", it still applies the altered number of winders to all turnings.
Is this just a glitch?
