Creative way to include doors/windows not bordering Zone Stamp

I am trying to schedule my doors and windows, but because of how the project was initially modeled (which would be too much to go back and change), there are a few instances where the doors or windows belonging to a room were placed into a wall that does not border the zone stamp and is separated by an opening (shown in green in the photo).

I have thought about placing the windows in the wall that borders the zone stamp and then offsetting it outwards, but that is also too much work at this point. We have thousands of windows.

Basically, I want to call on each door or window in the schedule and also show the room number and room name to which it belongs, which we have already done for many other objects using classifications / parameters / expressions.

Has anyone found creative ways to allow a zone stamp to recognize an element that is not directly inside or bordering it? Is there anything in classifications and expressions that could be jerryrigged? Maybe something along the lines of "If element is x cm away from stamp, then I can pull information from it?"

I haven't tried it but does changing the 'add recess to zones' setting have any influence upon this?

Hi Lee,

It looks like there isn't any influence -- maybe because they aren't recesses and instead full openings? We also are trying to not count those interstitial spaces to our net room area, but maybe that's the lesser evil.

Thanks for the suggestion!
