Dear Talkers,

Here is a nice example for the creative use of ArchiCAD 12’s Curtain Wall tool from James Bowers of Bermello, Ajamil and Partners, Miami, FL. If you have similar examples, please post it in this thread. We would be happy to feature some of the best on graphisoft.com.

In the spirit of Sarah Palin (well, really Tina Fey's) "And I can see Russia from my house!" ... and I can make my name with MEP ductwork! 😉

Seriously though... I'm impressed, Link. 🙂

I suppose each letter is a Curtain Wall Panel created by joining several other panels, while all other panels and frames are set to invisible.
Actually, it's all one curtain wall. I just added these as polygons to the original frame boundary, then deleted the original. I'm surprised that we (AFAICS) can't cut a hole out of the boundary, as we can with a slab. This could be a way of inserting one curtain wall inside another, for example.

It shows you how to create a polygonal Curtain Wall. You should create that long nice curve of the Curtain Wall with linear and curved segments when defining the Curtain Wall polygon. You can then go to the 3D Window and rotate your Curtain Wall 90 to its desired position.

Yes, I think you can do that.
You can select any panel and press the Delete key to delete them. This way you can have no panels.
