Curtain wall

I have created a curtain wall with a door embedded, now I want to make wider the module where the door is. As the predefined doors in the curtain wall doesn't match my requirements I have drawn a a wall and put on it my custom door. My questions are
1° Is it possible to insert in a curtain wall a door not predefined without inserting previously the wall?
2° Is it possible to expand the module in the curtain wall and therefore to expand the embedded door.

You can edit curtain wall in 3D (right click and pick that option) and modify individual parts regardless of the predefined grid. But this also breaks the connection to the predefined grid.
