Custom profile auto-indexing every time I move an object

Hi,

I have inherited a messy project file with a number of complex profiles which if I move, rotate, drag, etc an object (beam, column etc) which has one of the profiles applied) I have to wait at least 17sec until some sort of autoindexing goes through all the profiles in the properties bar (all the profiles in the properties bar blink)
I have organised them into folders and even deleted some, however I still cannot stop this.

It's Archicad 26 with the latest update.

Apologies because there wasn't an option in the drop-down to choose it and I thought there was a major change since the 27 with all below in the legacy category

I just happen to have 26 open at the moment and I am on Windows 11 as well.

I am not seeing this problem when I move or rotate a complex profile beam.

I have my profiles in folders and I have just over 100 profiles.

This might be a hard issue to pin down.

Is it just this file, sounds like it might be?

If you open a default template and that is fine, try importing all of the complex profile attributes from this 'bad' file and see if that then has the same issue.

If it does then maybe it is a problem with certain profile attributes.

Then you would have to start deleting them to try to figure out what is causing it, or open a new template and just bring in groups of profile attributes.

If there is no issue then what else could it be?

I am not sure.

If it is happening in more than just this file, then there is a bigger problem to solve.

Do you happen to have a massive amount of other (or missing) attributes in this file?  Sometimes a lot of unique fills and lines can create some model file slowness.

The file contains a lot of imported attributes, which I clean up whenever I come across them. Although I have reduced their number considerably, the same issue still occurs, but mainly with these custom profiles. The lines and fills that apply here, I changed to standard Archicad ones.

So, it is just that file that has problems?

Another file with complex profiles is OK or are they all slow?

Do you have the ability to open this file on another machine to see if the same occurs there?
