Cut plane in plan

Evaru

Hi,

I am trying to draw a foundation plan but the foundation walls are only showing up as dashed lines. I have set the cut plane to go directly through the foundation wall but still no change. I have drawn the foundation as a complex profile as there is insulation on either side. How can I get the foundation to show up properly on the plan? Using Archicad 22.

Thank you!

Walls and beams do not offer the same plan display options in Archicad 22. To answer your question, you must first know how you modeled your foundations.

No, you can't swap a beam for a wall.

However have a look at the line types you have set for the beams.

I assume the beams are below your cutting plane.

If so set the uncut line to solid.

If actually being cut then set the cut line to solid.

If by chance they are above the cut plane then the overhead line needs to be solid.

And if they are covered by a slab, the hidden line need to be solid.

Hello Evaru,

Did you model your foundation walls with wall tool or beam tool ?

Both wall and beam selected is selected under the complex profile when I go to edit it. I guess that's probably where I have gone wrong and should have used just wall?

Is there a way to convert it to  a wall?

They are modeled in as beams.

Excellent, thank you to both of you for helping me out. I decided to redraw the complex profile as a wall. Not sure what my thinking was when I also selected beam while drawing the complex profile.
