Even though it seems relatively easy, I am new to Archicad and I don't quite understand what is going on. Can you give me an easier breakdown?

1. Draw a slab the exact shape of an elevation of your beam
2. Select the slab, go to 3D view. Select an Axonometric view, not perspective.
3. Go to 3D projection settings, select the side view icon ( 1 - see attached) and move the camera icon directly above the house (2).
4. Go to File>GDL Objects>Save 3D model as... and save your object to the desired location.
5. Select the Object tool and your newly created object will be the current selection, place it accordingly in your plan.

... I think.....
