Do you ever get confused when designing stairs in Archicad?
We know it's a super parametric tool, so...
Let's break down the five key settings to help you design better!
Baseline
- What is it? The baseline determines the reference line for your stairs.
- How to set it:
- Align the baseline with your design reference, such as a wall or boundary.
- Example: If your stairs turn left, set the baseline on the left for smoother alignment.
- Choose external or internal baselines depending on the layout.
Landing Options
- Purpose: Adjust the landing’s configuration quickly.
- How to use it:
- Add or remove the short distance between the riser and the landing without manual tweaking.
- Simplifies stair flow and saves time during adjustments.
Fixed Riser Offset
- Why it matters: Ensures precise placement of risers for cleaner transitions.
- Pro Tip:
- Set the "Fixed Riser Offset" to zero for perfect alignment.
