Dimension (move, extend, etc.) box not showing up anymore

I have what is hopefully an easy question. When working in my model, when I click on an element to move it or extend it, I normally get a box which allows me to input the exact dimension that I want to change the element to. When I opened my file today (and closed and reopened), the program is no longer showing me this box. Instead, it's making me make random relative movements. (E.g. I want to move a window 1' away from a wall. It does not allow me to type "1' " and hit enter and be done. It makes me move all over until it's physically moved to the new position.)

Another question, is there an easy way to hide or display all layers of the model? I currently am working between the Project Map and View Map to filter the sections that I want to display. When I'm done filtering, I want to hit 'show all' or the equivalent to go back to viewing the 3D model.

I appreciate your help!

P.S. I LOVE that this forum has a spell check before posting! Keep it professional .

It also has profanity check.

Called the 'tracker,' behavior is controlled under "Work Environment"

Create a Keyboard shortcut for "Show All Layers."
Also under "Work Environment."

there is also a "Quick Layers palette" with useful commands, like undo/redo layer operations

The Tracker often does not display after relaunching the program. The default shortcut to bring it back is the "J" key with no modifiers. This will toggle the tracker on and off so it can also disappear if you hit it by mistake.
