3 CM is quite small for that scale, maybe have it on a layer you can turn off?
Personally I go for the override cutfills to black and hide all skin seperators approach at 1:200 scale. That way some of these issues of lines merging into one thick line effectively are a bit less noticeable.
I do think there is a trade-off between model accuracy and speed of producing views from a 3D/BIM software compaired to showing excactly what you want in a 2D drafting setting. I tend to settle for 'looks good enough'.
