Door openings not showing up

recently, the door openings on the drawing are not showing up. The doors do, but not the opening - the wall continues through the door. I'm sure it's a simple fix

It turns out that the renovation status of the wall needs to be set to new, not existing. I need to set the default to new, and not existing. How do I do that? IS it something that is set on the template?

The doors and the wall just need to have the same status. 

I think the setting is also saved to Favourites(?), in which case those would need to be updated.

No, it's not.

I just checked it 'cause I wanted to brag with my expertise: "You can edit multiple favorites at once!", but no need here.
