Elevate in 3D Window

Stress Co_

Can I elevate an object in the 3D window by inputting the desired distance?
I know I can drag graphically or input an Elevation (z coordinate). Tracker is on... it shows the distance I'm moving (elevation)... but I want to, for example .... elevate the roof 2'-3 1/8" by inputting that distance.
Is it possible?

Yep.

Edit > Elevate or Command-9 (in my Work Environment, anyway)

That works in plan and section/elevations..... I'm in the 3D window.

It works in the 3D window as well. I do it all the time

I understand that you want to type the number actually. Here is the trick to do that:
Hit Ctrl+9 in 3D window
Hit Z type 0 enter
Hit Z again and type desired elevation.

Tom/Miki:
I'm pleased to find it's possible... But it's not working for me.

Does the Elevate dialog box appear?

Could it be some setting in Work Environment that I'm missing? I can't get there via keyboard shortcut or the Edit Menu.

Do you have Tracker on?

Works for me. Tracker ON. Don't even have to pick a node.

Hi Marc -

I wasn't aware you could elevate in 3D window via ctrl+9 either! And......I have imtermittent results. For me it worked best, on a roof anyway by selecting it at the pivot line, ctrl+9, then z, input and it usually worked..........although I paid attention to what coordinate was highlighted, and I love this about 10, simply tabbing through them until I land where I want.

I have and will probably continue to use my tracker for this. [see attached settings] The moment an object is selected, and not before, tracker appears, then I tab through, input, enter and it's done. Frequently moving, or starting to move the object in the direction I want, i.e. up or down yields best results. as always multiple ways to skin that cat............

Gidday Stuart:

Does the Elevate Window appear? or do you input the distance in tracker? or in the Coordinates Pallette?

Hey Jeff:
I've got the same settings as you. Still no go.

I can get it to work in a way, if I turn tracker off and type the value in the Delta R box of the Coordinates Pallette.... Or as I've done in the past.. switch to plan view and use Command + 9.
