You know I always think big and want everything so here goes my question for you:
We want to create a finish quantity list. For example, there is 4,000 sq ft of PT1 and 30,100 sq ft of CPT2, etc....in this model. We want to be able to put the information in one time and have it show up in the schedule and in a quantity list. Right now we can get a quantity of a wall surface but it's of the entire wall and not just the 9' high that is in the zone tag that fills in the schedule. We also don't want to be modeling walls only up to the finish material. Wall types wouldn't work because a wall might have different wall finishes on each side or in different rooms and a wall would be continuous.
Would you have any ideas of how to accomplish this? Is anyone doing anything like this and how are you doing it?
