Floor appears hidden

Having been frustrated at not being able to hide objects in sections views, it seems in some 3d views I cannot see the floor. Only an outline. Any suggestions as to to resolve this.

Is the Layer of the Slab is set to Wireframe in the Layer Settings Dialog?

.... and other things which affect visibility:
- layer combination in the 3d window
- display order
- active graphic overrides
- pen settings for the element in question
- renovation setting of the element in question if it’s completely hidden
