Guidelines in AC15

OK. So what's the deal with the guidelines in AC15? I can't seem to get them to work correctly. I put my cursor on a point, get my check mark like usual, but no guidelines until I start to draw a line or what have you. I use the guide lines a lot. And what's with the orange dot? I got my programs in a brown bow, no information on new functions at all. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The guide lines have been changed in 15. Read the PDF ArchiCAD 15 Reference Guide starting on page 52 - Guide Line Improvements.

You click on the orange orb (called a guide line handle) to activate the line...

You can now drag guidelines to new locations and more...

Cheers,
Karl

At the risk of showing my ignorance, where is this PDF file found? Could you provide a link or point me in the right direction?

Ignorant no longer. I found it (the pdf guide) in my help drop down. Thanks anyway. I can see how, after getting used to it, these may be a good idea. We'll see. Thanks again
