HP DESIGN JET 1050C plotter

anyone had problems printing from AC 9 or PM 9 to HP DESIGN JET 1050C plotter.
I can't even begin to describe the output, missing text, missing moste lines, missing most fills, even missing letters within text!!
the same file prints fine on several different small laser printers.

AC 9 US, Windows XP professional

an upgrade of the plotter driver seemed to solve the problem..

never had a problem with our 1050
MACBKPro /32GiG / 240SSD
AC V6 to V18 - RVT V11 to V16
