Help! Back and forth between AC 11 and AC 12

I am a student, and a new user of ArchiCAD. I have ArchiCAD 12 at home, but I have ArchiCAD 11 at school. I have been trying to bringing home projects to work on. When I take the projects back to school it tells me I have missing library items. Is there a way to do this that I am missing? If someone is able to help me with this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

First, please give any future posts a meaningful subject Just "Help!" is simply annoying. I've changed your subject line.

You cannot take AC 12 library parts back into 11. So, if it is essential that you keep moving back and forth between AC 11 and AC 12, then you should be doing so with only the AC 11 library. You can make a copy of the AC 11 library from school and copy it somewhere on your home system and reference it for the projects that are going back and forth.

Saving the project as a PLA is another option.

Karl is, as usual, much more charitable than myself. I would simply say that this kind of thing is STRONGLY discouraged. The library is only the beginning of the problems you will encounter (and the most easily solved). I thought all students used laptops these days (MacBook Pros by the looks of students at my local U).

Migrating a project forward (and especially backward) is something one does only after carful consideration and with copious amounts of clear-headed, sober deliberation. Graphisoft has practically built a business model out of making ArchiCAD the most unportable file format in the know world. Stick with 12 and don't mess around. </sermon>
