Help!! Need to open a version 6 pln file?

I got a call from a contractor about doing some remodel work on a
job I did in 1999 - 2000 on version 6.

I found my AC10 CD but don't know for sure if it will even run on a
windows vista ultimate 64 bit system.
I think I read somewhere that either 10 or 12 would open these older version pln files, but don't know for sure.

Can I open this file with AC10 on my current system (see below) and
if not is there any way I can open and use the data from a version 6 file?

I would hate to have to go up there and do as built dimensions again!!

I know the whole house is drawn correctly on the version 6 pln file!

I have version 10 installed on a Windows 7 64 bit machine.
It works but I wouldn't want to use it as there are problems.
But it should be good enough for you to open and save your old job.
However 10 will only open files back to 6.5.
So if you do have a 6.0 file then you will need 9 or before.

There are file converters here that will run on your machine.
Version 9 is there.

They don't need to be installed - just download and extract.

If I can open it in 8 I think I can save there and then jump to 12...

I think?

Version 12 can read 8.1 files but not 8.0.
See this page for a list of what can read and write which versions and also what protection keys you need (towards the end of the page).
