How add a jpg as bacground in "stories"

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have not used Archicad for a few years now, and can not remember how to add a jpg as background when in stories. (Im using a map to plot in neighbouring houses).

When i search I only find tips on how to add bacground for rendering, not when drawing.

Greatly appreciate all tips!

You can use either the Drawing or Figure tools. See this article that describes a few of the differences between the two:

Hi Karl.
Thank you so very much. I did not find what I was searching for there, but I appreciate your effort.

Last night I got a tip on twitter that explained exactly what I was looking for.
In case someone else reads my question searching for the same answer:

🙂)) Have to smile, since the page I sent you to gives you the tool information that you needed for placing jpeg backgrounds. But, I'm glad you found Eric's detailed step-by-step helpful. 😉

Now that you've tried his steps, review the article that I mentioned - because there are subtle differences between the Drawing Tool (Eric's steps) and the Figure Tool (similar steps to Eric's) that may affect your result.

Glad to have helped.

Cheers,
Karl
