How do i make a wall vent

I want to create a brick 'wall vent', the issues i have so far are;

1) I have made it out of a custom profile wall and it wont save as a window component,

2) Then i tried it as a library object but if i were to do it this way, I think I need to put an empty opening into the wall with a blank window and then stick the library part in the wall gap. This opening is visible in plan which is what i do not want.

Consider saving the object as a window.

Or, adding the GDL script WALLHOLE ( or something like it) to cut the hole for you.
