How to Measure volume under a staircase?

Hi all

I am creating a cabinet under a straight staircase and I would like to measure its exact volume, from floor to underside to the stair. I am not sure how to trim the zone to the underside of stair.

Is there a way to do it?

Thanks for all of your reply.

Element information will report the volume of a morph.
So place a morph block under the stair with a higher height than the highest point of the understair space.
SEO the morph to the bottom of the stair using Subtraction with Upward Extrusion.
Get the volume of the morph with Element Information.
Viola !
(Anybody else remember 'viola'?)

Can we do similar trick with the Zone?

Yes, you can do the same also with zones. Do as David suggested and instead of using a morph, use the SEO directly on the zone. I guess the easiest would be to open both the zone and the stair in the 3D.

If you won't see your zone in 3D, then just turn it on the "Filter and Cut Elements in 3D" under View/Elements in 3D View.
