How to assingn "load bearing" to stair flight beam?

Anonymous
Not applicable
I could not find option to assign "load bearing" to beam of stairs flight.
Is there any way to do that? If not, how can I see stair structure only in "partial structure display"
What if I need to save them as IFC format to send to structural engineers?

You can classify the entire stair as load bearing, but not the individual components.

The only partial structure display the entire stair will respond to is non load bearing and undefined stairs will disappear when 'Core of load baring elements only' is activated.

Send it to them as a 3D .dwg and they will probably be happier with it than a IFC file.
View in 3D window - save as .dwg to make a 3D .dwg file.

We can choose to make a stair element structural or non structural, but we don't have that choice for the sub-elements that make up the stair

What is the best work around for showing a staircase without finishes on a structural drawing?

I will add it to the wish list

You can control the display in 2D using Model View options but that has no effect in 3D

Yes, I think it is already on the Wishlist, it was been wished for multiple times in recent years.
