How to create this kind of roof tile more easily?

Hi, everyone

Is there an easy way to create this kind of roof tile (3D)? Right now I could do it by creating roof objects with its shape and stack them row by row. I've searched the forum and most of the time the answers pointed to the gdl scripting (roof accessories) which is way over my head.

Any idea would be appreciated.

On my current project I modeled some kind of wood deck, each piece of wood
I modeled with slab tool (over 1k pieces) ...it looks really cool but actually pointless...
I had similar situation this summer and figure out that ArchiCAD is not
built for this kind of task...it just cannot handle all that polygons...
it slows down very much without using all hardware capabilities, I was carefully watching memory and cpu usage during 3d or section generation...
it was less than 20%...

so real question is do you really need all that staff in 3D?

btw GREAT looking model...beautiful...congrats

Actually, no, I don't need it. But, I do like to push my limitation a bit. And, well , it kinda looks nicer than a big plain with fill covering.

Thank you, for the compliment
