You could do this a number of ways. Since you have 15 you could use the renovation settings to create a different 3d material for the existing/new objects. You could also just change the materials for those buildings you don't want to emphasize with white, great, glass or ice. I'm sure other people will post some good ideas.

My fix: I saved all 3d and elevations as jpg, then using the fill tool with a .7 black outline, drew around all I did not want to see, grouped the picture and voila!!! it is done.
That renovation tool is a mess as far as I am concerned, makes me have to make too many decisions on every tool, every step and just don't use it at all. I am an expert in layers and able to work faster this way.
