 
I can't see the railing well in WHITE MODEL, is there a way to make it more visible?

If you are using the OpenGL engine (or Hardware engine as it is called now) in your 3D style settings, you will find that round profiles do not show their contour lines.
Try setting 3D Style to Vectorial engine with monochrome and contours on.
