Importing PDF with background transparency

Hello,

I am trying to import PDF with background transparency. In general pdf files don't have background colour, it is only added by viewing program for better look.
However, when I am importing PDF to Archicad, AC imports the file with background filled and the option of background transparency is unavailable. Is there any way to overcome this problem ?

Yes - use the Figure Tool instead of the Drawing Tool:

The Figure Tool can only place PDF files directly on Mac OS X. For Windows, you'll have to convert the PDF to a graphics image format (PNG, etc) first. If you use Photoshop, the pixel density chosen during the opening/conversion of the PDF will significantly impact the quality of the placed image.

Thanks for reply,
But I am not interested in converting PDF into raster file. I want to have it in Archicad as a vector graphic with transparency.

Then you're out of luck unless you buy a Mac. You can make a wish - which may never be granted, or just convert it and move on with your work...
