Importing Surveyors Data into Archicad

Grubenstein
Booster

Hi All,

When bringing in imported surveyors data to create a mesh. It always references the project base point and not the survey point.

I have set up the location settings with the survey point in the correct location from where the base point is located (in this case on the intersection of a surveyors grid giving me the eastings and northings for the survey point location offset from this point). Vertical elevation is also set up above sea level with the story levels reporting the correct height (as we are here not in the Andes! we can have the stories at the correct elevation).

But when the survey points come in to auto create the mesh, they always ref the base point. Doesnt seem to be an option to change this. So when it comes in I need to move in the X and Y axis by the survey point offset coordinates and then its in the right location,

Any advice as to how this can be corrected please.

Thanks

Kevin

Are you talking about the File > Interoperability > Place Mesh from Surveyor's Data menu command?

If I remember well, that command has been in Archicad for about a decade, while the Survey Point has been in Archicad only in the last few versions.

I can imagine that the command was not upgraded to consider the Survey Point as well.

If you want this additional capability, you can make a wish on the official Wishlist:
