Importing a 3D DWG....

Does anyone know if it is possible to bring in the 3D information from an autocad 3D file? Format 2000i

Alternatively, is there a "middle man" program that I can use to achieve this... perhaps Studio Max or something...

For some reason I remember bringing a 3D file in as an Object... I might be going mad though..

Select file -> GDL Objects -> Open Object
