Importing complex profiles

Is there any way to get a complext profile from one project file into another.

Yes, you can.

Options > Element Attributes > ATTRIBUTE MANAGER.
Open the reference file (right) and paste in the existing file (left) with the append button...

Perhaps so... but only Attribute Manager lets you be assured of what index number is being assigned to the imported profile. This is CRITICAL if you are hotlinking the result into a master file as all attributes - including profiles - must have matching index numbers to appear correctly.

For simple projects / casual use or when the result will not become a template for future projects, then copy/paste is indeed easy.

Yes. Specifically if you copy and paste, the attribute will index itself accordng to the lowest available index number.

With attribute manager you have much more control, even if it is combersome to do so. You can use a technique like the one outlined
here to slot the attribute in exactly where you want it.
