Inserting first object

When inserting the first object in a newly opened file (new job or existing)
there is a pause of about 12 seconds (windows hour glass). every object insertion after the first is immediate as it should be.
Anyone experience this or suspect a cause.

eg.
when i open a job and place an object it pauses, then its works ok after this initial pause.
I then close the file, then re-open it place an object again, and it pauses again, but then inserting subsequent objects all works fine

Same here. Never happened in previous versions.
