Layout (almost) freezes! Help!

I have a big problem with my layout, which sometimes almost freezes, this means the file seems to get corrupted in a way the layout won't work anymore. I still can import new drawings, but can't modify their position, scale, title etc. on the layout. Nor can I add lines, text or any other item to any of the layouts, including the masters.

I did not manage to solve this problem ever. A damaged file remains a damaged file. The only solution is to import the drawings in a new, clean Archicad document, loosing all saved views. Importing the layout into the new file however will result in a blocked layout in the new file, as well.

I don't know how to reproduce the error, but it happened to me in AC10 as well as AC11, on Windows as well as Macintosh plattform. Sent the file to my support centre, but they had no idea of how to solve this inconvenience.

I really don't know what to do anymore, since files can get corrupted few hours before an important hand-over and this will cost a lot of money, time and - most important - nerves!!!!!!!!!

Any idea? Anyone experiencing similar/same problems??

I solved the problem: it was due to a grid snap activated on a very wide grid, which made it impossible to move objects unless they were moved very far away from the layout.
