Library 3101.3005

http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/library/AC17/AC17-USA-LibHotfix1.html

I see that there is a new library update. But it says to install it before upgrading to hotfix 3013.

This is not necessary is it? I just installed the library hot fix with 3013 already installed and it seems to work.

However, vertical and horizontal are still backwards for wood. Wd-Walnut Horizontal/Virtical, Wd-Pine Horizontal/Virtical etc...

Hi Steve,

For correct usage of Favorites it is highly recommended to install the ArchiCAD 17 USA library hotfix as well. You can read the release notes and download the hotfix here: http://www.graphisoft.com/downloads/library/AC17/AC17-USA-LibHotfix1.html

Please let me know if you have further questions.

I think you missed my point. The instructions say to install the program hotfix AFTER the library hotfix. As you can see from my screen shot, I installed the program hotfix already. I installed the library hotfix after the program hotfix and it seems to work just fine.

It seems that you do not need to uninstall the latest program hotfix so you can install the latest library hotfix first, then reinstall the program hotfix AFTER the library hotfix. Or do I ?

I see in another place on this forum that the 3013 program hot fix has been recalled.

Also even after installing the 3013 program hotfix, my BIM Server is indicating that it is out of date and I can not re-install the program hotfix to update because the installer tells me that I have already installed the latest hot fix.

Fortunately, for the project I am working on it makes no difference anyway.

When I get the time, I will completely uninstall the program and reinstall from scratch. When I do this, I certainly hope there will not me anymore recalled hotfixes, out of sequence upgrades, and any more confusion.

This is the result of sending out 1/2 baked upgrades for the sake of meeting the annual subscription schedule.

I will spare you my diatribe on the evils of subscriptions and call my distributor and give him an earful... again. He likes it when I do that.

Steve,

The original 3013 hotfix was recalled, and now there is a new 3013.
You will need to manually change the version number on your archicad in order to re-apply the new 3013 hotfix AFTER your library update.

Look at the 3013 Hotfix thread for more information.
ArchiCAD 25 & 24 USA
Windows 10 x64
Since ArchiCAD 9
then they should have called it 3014

Hi Steve,

It's important to have both ArchiCAD 17 general and library hotfixes installed to avoid problems in Favorite or library element usage, but it isn't necessary to keep the order of the install.

Sorry for the inconvenience.
