Linking Data to Objects (Walls, Windows, Doors, Objects, etc

I am looking for a way to link data to various items used in Archicad drawings/models (Walls, Doors, Windows, Columns, Objects, etc.).

Is there a way currently in place to link, say a .pdf file or website to an item so that when you click on that item you can access said file or website?

I would like to be able to click on say a door and be able to link a file, website, or any other collection of data to that door that would give specification info, manufacturing data, etc.

Does this exist?

Not that i know of. Archicad is pretty weak on linking to external data in general.

and if i select in floor plan an a/c equipmnt, be able to link it to a pdf specs file and then when i publish the project to a pdf set of plans , those equipment links be accessible / selectable also.

The only link available is for library parts (objects, windows, doors). If you open the library part and go to the Comment window, you can add a line with the "#" symbol followed by the web address. Then if someone selects the comment option in the library part preview (bottom tiny square button on the left of the preview window), a small square icon with a globe and a text field with the web address will appear above the preview window. Clicking on the globe icon opens your default browser and takes you to the web address. The user really has to know how to find this, generally the preview comment is left empty, so most users never take a look at it.
