I'm using a one year old MacBookPro and I had this display problem with uptime about 10 min. (well, not lately since I've gone back to tiger).
I'm using a MacBook Pro with 10.5 that's just over a year old and I've never seen this problem at all. I'm not suggesting you did anything wrong, but it might be useful to know that this isn't a universal problem. Perhaps some of the graphics cards Apple shipped have a problem?

Sometimes it is useful to open older projects in old versions of Archicad because it costs too much time to convert them to ArchiCAD 11, especially larger projects.
Does anyone have experience with ArchCAD 9 running under Leopard?

I have had to load the OS this week also. Don't know if this is Archicad vs Leopard or what; it sure slows me down.
I have a MAC PRO (G5) W/ 2 x 2.66 GHz Dual-Core Intel Xeon w/3 hard drives; LEOPARD 10.5.1. 8 GB 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM, an ATY,RadeonX1900 Graphics card and am using 2 30" Cinema monitors.

Is there a final word on whether or not it's ok to upgrade to Leopard?
I've been looking to buy a new laptop (mine is 4 years old and kinda struggling), but didn't want to do so until GS had given it's blessing to Leopard.
In reading this thread, am I interpreting correctly that most of the compatibility issues are with the PPC - but that there are fewer issues with the intel processor?
My reseller said some time back that there was a compatibility issue with teamwork features, but as a sole proprietor I'm wondering if I can ignore this?
Anyway, just wondering if anyone knows
