Marquee problems in 3D

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have begun working in AC 11. I'm trying to marquee sections of the drawing to view selected items in 3D so I can isolate errors in elements originally created in AC9. I set View>Elements in 3D View >Filter Elements in 3D View to "Show Elements inside Marquee"

The ^)&(^)&^& marquee will not isolate a section of the drawing. Selecting an element will not open it in isolation in 3D. I don't want all 93 SEMs for every &*)* piece each time I switch to 3D.

Has anyone else had and solved this problem?

Thanks.

you missed a big jump in 3D window functionality with the 9>10 release. you're now in at the deep end with 11!

there are several ways of opening the 3D window now - check out all the different commands, assign the one you use the most (typically 'Show Selection/Marquee in 3D') to your old 3D window shortcut keys and you will be away.

having jumped from 9 to 11, you may find it worth re-reading a lot of the manual before crying foul!

Thanks. After several days of futzing, I thought I understood AC11.

I read the manual when I have trouble sleeping 😉
